Castor oil is considered to be a bane of childhood for people who were subjected to a daily dose of this rather vile tasting oil. However, it’s considered to be a wonderful analgesic oil when applied externally for all kinds for pain including sore muscles and arthritis pain, bruising, lower back pain and nerve damage.

  • It takes up to 12 hours for the oil to work, but remember you should take it for an extended period of time.
  • Castor oil can be applied directly on the skin, and is commonly used in relation with heat packs and lower back pain.
