Apricot Kernels — Cancer
Apricot kernels contain glycosides (a combination of sugar and cyanide. In addition, apricots have a selective toxicity — a selective enzyme that’s produced in large quantities by cancer cells and it triggers the breakdown of sugar that expels cyanide (kills the cancer cells). One question, why aren’t healthy cells affected by the cyanide? Healthy cells have rhodanese that see the cyanide as a harmless entity.
